NOTES
Jobiniana No.1 is the first in a series of works by guitarist/composer Sergio Assad (b. 1952) inspired by the music of his famous compatriot Antonio Carlos Jobim. Jobiniana No. 1 is harmonically and rhythmically evocative of Jobim's masterful and prototypically Brazilian voice.

Duo Spiritoso performs two complete works of classic Spanish nationalism by Enrique Granados.
NOTES
Enrique Granados y Campiña (1867-1916) lived most of his early life in Barcelona. He was trained primarily as a pianist but also studied, probably informally, with the great Spanish musicologist Felipe Pedrell (1841-1922). It is reasonable to assume that the clear nationalist-folk element in Granados' music came to be, at least partially, as a result of Pedrell's strong influence.
